"Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few." Sir Winston Churchill
Thus spake Sir Winston Churchill in the spring of 1940 when paying tribute to the brave sacrifices of the men of the Royal Air Force in the harrowing early days of World War II. But as was the case with much of Churchill's oratory, his words have come to transcend the specific events of that time or even of the country of Great Britain. It is something all of us have come to know about the brave men and women who have defended our own country, sacrificing so that we all shall know, love, and cherish freedom, and what we owe to them by way of honoring and remembering them.
